What do you mean by "access a remote network right away"?

Depending on what you plan to do on the remote network, you could use ssh. SSH is a secure shell, similar to telnet, but greatley more secure, it will allow you to connect to a remtoe computer or network and run commands on a remote machine. I belive it is also possibel to view the remote X display session on your local machine.

I've heard of other gui based tools involved with remote network access, but i'm not up to speed on these methods, so i'll leve that for someone else...

Keiko.

Again, you're not very clear about what you want to do. If you use SSH like suggested, you would actually not really access the network but a box on that network. If you want to remotely include youself in the network, you would have to use VPN instead.
However, I can only speculate about what you want to do, as long as you don't give any details. What is it you want to do on the remote network? How will you use it?
