|

Hi all,
Yesterday, I updated my system with an emerge --deep --update --newuse world + etc-update (after an emerge --sync). I noticed that the hotplug with php5 packages were rebuilt (unfornutaly I have no trace, and I don't remember the version of each package, I guess that they are the latest).
Since, I'm not able to restart my system, it freezes on udev (just after hotplug); I can break it with CTRL+C, the system does more stuff and freezes again on clean /temp. If I break on this, then I have critical boot fail message and "the emergency prompt" (press CTRL+D to reboot or root password for maintenance).
Does anybody have an idea on what is going wrong ?
(I think that I will boot on gentoo install USB key (2006.0), then mount my root partition & remerge genkernel, kernel, baselayout, coreutils, hotplug-base, hotplug).
My system: AMD Athlon XP 1800+ / 512 RAM / 2 x 250Go SATA RAID 1 / SHUTTLE SK43G
Thanks for your help.
r1.
P.S. The hdd are OK.
