So I was searching around for a nice wallpaper. I came across this:
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=28745&vote=good&tan=40490123
So I downloaded it and put it as my wallpaper. As you can see in the picture on kde-look.org, there is a glowing effect at the bottom of the picture. On my desktop, that effect apears at the left side of the screen, but it runs linear from top to bottom. So it's sortof a blue gradient going from bright(left) to the normal wallpaper's colour(right). And I am using the version of the background that includes text, but i don't see the text!?
I was wondering if this is just a problem with ksvg, as it says on kde-look.org. I'm remerging it now, so maybe that will fix it, but that's unlikely.
Is this actually a known bug in ksvg, or is it something else? |

I get the same left side gradient here. Tried different scaling and such and it's always there.
I opened the wallpaper.svg file in karbon14 then saved it, looks like this.
It seems a little lighter but that center gradient might render different depending on the resolution. _________________ #gentoo-kde on freenode |

I decided just to get the quickest fix possible. I remerged gimp with +svg and took the wallpaper into it, then saved it as a gif. It looks great |
