Under winxp, ping some web sites and write down their IP addresses. Then under Gentoo, try pinging those IP addresses. If you can ping them, then looks like a problem finding a nameserver. Otherwise, maybe a problem finding the gateway.
You're not running Gentoo under VirtualPC in WinXP are you? If so, then that might be part of the problem. I have the same router, and I just could not get name resolution to work running Gentoo under VirtualPC while using that router. Weird. Anyway, if you are able to ping by IP address but not by name then post your /etc/resolv.conf file here. If you're not even able to ping by IP address, then post your /etc/conf.d/net
