When I'm logged as root, all the system sounds work perfectly, but, if I log in as user, they don't work at all! The strange thing is that esd is loaded and in xmms, if I specify esound as output plugin, it works greatly as user too Any suggestions? |

Yes, they're... Latest news!
i tried running gnibbles by shell as user on gnome and it says, when it should play the sound, Audio device open for 44.1Khz, stereo, 16bit failed... if I try the same thing as root, it doesn't write anything... if I try this on fluxbox, I get the error message both from user and root |
