This is just a heads up, I managed to find the fix.
When booting, when the kernel loads the snd-powermac module I get a segfault:

The solution is to load the i2c-powermac before snd-powermac (place it before snd-powermac in /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6). _________________ No more cruft
