Hi to all,
I have a simple question about pmount & auto-mounting in GNOME 2.12.
Here's the problem:
I have an USB stick which, if mounted manually (mount /dev/sda /mnt/whatever) works correctly; the same holds for my CD-Rom drives. So, I suppose that my kernel configuration is correct.
Then, I decided to use pmount for managing the drives automount; I emerged the latest version in portage (0.9.6) and added the gnome-volume-control which starts at the beginnig of the gnome session.
What happens is the following: every time I insert a cd into the drive, a nautilus window is opened but no icon is placed in the desktop, while plugging the usb stick does not do anything (neither open the window or mount it).
Have anybody an hint?
Thanks,
