Hi!
I have a big problem to install Gentoo 2006.0 on my new laptop Acer Aspire 9500.
When boot prompt appears I've written gentoo and press enter key. When "kernel loading" appears my system crash without exploding kernel messages.
I've already tried with gentoo-nofb but without success.
I've used minimal boot disk.
Other live distro works well but I haven't compiler on it so I can't install gentoo from stage 1.
Is there someone who can help me?
Many thanks.

My quess is it could be the famous ACPI problem. Try booting with "gentoo acpi=off". |
