I'm running KDE 3.5.1 on PPC and till yesterday there was no problem with booting, I can't remember any "delicate" update. Anyway, now booting ends with "Netmount was not started" and X ist not starting. doing startx as normal user gets me into kdm. Everything seems to be quite fine.
KDM is display manager in /etc/rc.conf, kde-3.5 is the correct xsession, there is a xinitrc (exec startkde) in my home directory, correct permissions are set.
cat /var/log/xdm.log does not give any error message of today, neither do kdm.log or Xorg.0.log. Could this part of dmesg give an hint?

Has anyone an idea where to start from? Do you need any further information? Thanks for any comments.

| I don't know what solved the problem, but it's gone now. I re-emerged portmap, restarted the box... Really I don't know. |
