What do you mean? I've got my kde.eclass patched for some extra use flags like xcomposite, kdehiddenvisibility and kdenewldflags. It runs fast :) |
Certain flags are disabled for a reason, so, patching the eclass to enable them is not a good idea...
I've run accross reports that the kdehiddenvisibility is broken, so, unless you really like to experiment, and do not mind the consequences, then by all mean patch the eclass to your heart's content.

The biggest chore every time a new KDE comes out isn't all the compiling, it's the way you have to figure out which packages don't happen to have a 3.5.2 version this time around. After about 10 minutes you eventually nail all the ones which had to be 3.5.0 or 3.5.1, and it gets worse each minor release. :-/ |

Hi,
I was wondering when kde-3.5.2 will actually become stable? Any ideas, news etc?
Bye,
Werner. |

What do you mean by stable? KDE have already released it as a final release, so it's stable in that respect.
If you mean when will Gentoo unmask it, you might be waiting for a while yet. KDE 3.5.1 is still masked, afterall. |
