USB Mouse & A7N266-VM & Lockup

I have an Asus A7N266-VM mother board. I've been trying to
get it to work with my Logitech USB Optical mouse. However,
after using the mouse for a short period of time I lose the
mouse and my network connections drops. That is to say:

1. Boot up and login to Gnome or KDE ( it doesn't matter )
2. Begin using the mouse.
3. Eventually the Mouse locks up on the screen and I lose my
network access.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
