hello all,

i'm trying to play the vdr-xine stream via xine, which works just fine, with most tvtime deinterlacers (tvtime:method=Greedy...).
i would like to use the tvtime deinterlacer "TomsMoComp" (simply the best...) but sadly it crashes on me... (the others work!)
the problem also seems to happen in kaffeine playing dvb-s with the same deinterlacer.

Configuration:

# emerge xine-lib -vp
...
[ebuild R ] media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.1-r4
+X -a52 -aac -aalib +alsa (-altivec) -arts +asf -cle266 -debug -directfb -dts
-dvd -dxr3 +esd -fbcon +ffmpeg +flac +gnome -i8x0 +imagemagick +ipv6 -libcaca
+mad +mng -modplug +nls +nvidia +opengl +oss +samba +sdl -speex -theora +v4l
+vcd +vdr -vidix +vorbis +win32codecs -xinerama +xv -xvmc 0 kB

# vdr --version
vdr (1.3.36) - The Video Disk Recorder
lircrc (0.0.2) - Adds LIRC support by using '.lircrc'
xine (0.7.6) - Software based playback using xine

# lspci (linuxtv.org latest cvs drivers)

02:0d.4 Multimedia controller: Conexant CX23880/1/2/3 PCI Video and Audio Decoder [IR Port] (rev 05)

Now the Problem:
# xine -Dtvtime:method=TomsMoComp,enable=1 vdr:/var/vdr/xine/stream#demux:mpeg_pes
Dies ist xine (X11 gui) - Ein freier Video-Player v0.99.4.

I've had this problem since 1.1.1-r3, I think thats when they said something about a more secure build.

I always thought I was the only one with the messed up build, but I guess not. I have been using Greedy2Frame in the meantime.

Xine's repository nightly build works though, so it's probably a gentoo problem :(.

The issue is still alive. I use xine-lib 1.1.2-r2 and xine-ui 0.99.4-r5.

A few seconds after
Code:
xine -Dtvtime:method=TomsMoComp "xvdr://127.0.0.1#nocache;demux:mpeg_block"
with supreme video-quality xine crashes.

It´s a pitty, because we like TomsMoComp that much!

I tried xine-lib-1.1.3_pre20060929.ebuild, but it is lacking of support for the xvdr-mrl, so it will not start up. Has anybody an idea to fix that?

Cheers,

Sven
