I'm having a fight with dev-lang/php5.0.5-r4.
| Code: | configure: error: Cannot find libmysqlclient under /usr/local.
Note that the MySQL client library is not bundled anymore.
|
Gentoo installs in /usr/lib not /usr/local.
Why is it looking there???
I also tried revdep-rebuild, not helping

I'm having the same problem, except it seems to be more general... I can't emerge anything with mysql use flag: I get errors on missing mysql library files.
I don't see many posts with similar issues, so that tells me I'm probably just doing something wrong. Any ideas?
