Hi

I am using 2006.0, build from stage 3.

When I use init to change to another runlevel, for example
Code:
init x

I find that init tries to read another bash line from standard input before showing the prompt
Code:
gentoo ~ #

As a result, I always have to give an extra enter keystroke.

Is there a way to let it return to the prompt automatically?
Or is it the init problem itself written in such a way?

Could you provide more details about what you are trying to do ?

It is possible to create custom runlevels, but normally Gentoo only uses 2
    boot (runlevel 1)
    default (runlevel 3)
