wlan0 keeps loading itself

I can't seem to get my wireless to not want to load...While on campus, I don't want it to load up cuz I have an ethernet connection, and the wireless network requires manual authentication every 24 hours which is a royal pain in the ass...even tho i took wlan0 out of the default runlevel with rc-update, it still periodically (once or twice a day) loads up and takes over from the eth0 connection--thereby effectively shutting off my internet cuz it requires authentication thru a browser.

I realize I can stop this by removing ndiswrapper, but out of my own curiosity for understanding the config files...what do I need to do to 1) stop wlan0 from loading itself randomly and 2) to give eth0 priority whenever it has a connection?
