Hi, when ever I start dmesg my log is full of the line

Code:
usb 2-3.2: manual set_interface for iface 0, alt 0

I get this message about 20 times per second, maybe more. It seems to be related to my usb harddisk. All is working fine with no slowdown so far. But dmesg is useless to me, because the buffer is always full of this message.

Does anybody know what this message means? I googled for it, but I found nothing usefull.

Greetings Gonzo

It looks like you've got verbose debugging enabled. Where, exactly, I'm not sure -- might be a USB driver option, or a global kernel one. Disable the proper option and recompile the kernel or module to make it less chatty.

USB verbose debugging in Kernel is disabled. I will look for a driver option.
Thank you so far.
But what does this message mean? Is it something critical? I dont want to lose my data because of a stupid error, the system was complaining about for some time. :?
