Do you mean the virtual consoles (reached via ctrl-alt-F1-6) or do you mean various xterms running under KDE or do you mean various xterms running under some other desktop environment? |

I really don't think so. On my system the "Win" keys are bound to Decr_Console and Incr_Console in the vconsoles. They don't act like a modifier key. They act just like Alt-left_arrow and Alt-right_arrow. The keymaps config file does have an entry called SET_WINDOWKEYS which probably affects how the Win keys are handled.
You have some control over the keys in the vconsoles via key mapping. Do a "man keymaps" for details and use the /etc/conf.d/keymaps file for configuring your keymap and make sure the keymaps service is in your boot runlevel.
In addition to the problem of not being able to use the "Win" keys as modifiers, I am not aware of any program that acts like Xbindkeys to bind keys to command in the vconsoles. The key mapping acts more like xmodmap that gives meaning to keys but doesn't launch programs.
My inclination would be to write a shell wrapper that you can run inside the vconsole. It would accept keystrokes and send most of them to bash and print out the bash results but for certain keystrokes it would run some dcop commands that would control amaroK. It is likely that someone has already written something like this that I just don't know about.
You could also look into things such as qingy but I don't know if it does what you want or not, I've never used it myself. I'm sorry I couldn't have been more help. |
