Hi, i have one shuttle sn25p with nf4. I have a big problem with the time. I change the time in bios and in console, but always when y restart, the time is 03-30-2005.

I am using the "local" instead of rtc.

Thx

did you check your motherboard/cmos battery? It sounds like it might be empty :)

This may be a matter of "who's on first".

I would recommend that you set both your hwclock and your system clock while booted. Then you should be okay.

Also, you might be having the dreaded "lost ticks' problem. Scan your /var/log/messages for "lost ticks" which means that your RTC will be screwy.

In that case, make sure that you enable "PM Timer" on the "Processor type and features" page of the kernel configuration.

Then, add "clock=pmtmr notsc" to the end of your kernel line in /boot/grub/menu.lst (without the quotes).
