|
|
Okay, after disabling some use flags, I am ready to start setting up my system. I "emerge xorg-x11"ed, took forever, but worked(I had to disable all my use flags, and a cflag to get it to compile though). Onto KDE.
So I try to "emerge kde", and it fails, read on.
I "emerge --pretend kde | less" and I recieve one block.
Quote: | {blocks B} virtual/ghostscript (is blocking app-text/ghostscript-gnu-8.16-r1) | According to the KDE install Documentation and the Portage documentation, I tried cutting down to smaller packages than all of KDE. kdebase gives me the same error. I cannot "emerge --unmerge _______" anything, because nothing is installed to unmerge according to an "emerge --search ghostscript".
[/quote]So it would appear I am stuck and cannot get KDE... can anyone help me out?

Wow, I searched for like 6 things before I posted this, I am sorry to create a new thread.
As per the last entrant in that thread, after I went to bed the ebuild was patched, and syncing has resolved the issue. |
