|
|
Long story short: I have lots of GCC crap on my system that I know for a fact are unneeded.
Code: |
livecd / # gcc-config -l
[1] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.3.4
[2] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.3.5-20050130
[3] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.3.5-20050130-hardened
[4] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.3.5-20050130-hardenednopie
[5] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.3.5-20050130-hardenednopiessp
[6] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.3.5-20050130-hardenednossp
[7] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.4 *
[8] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.4-hardened
[9] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.4-hardenednopie
[10] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.4-hardenednopiessp
[11] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.4-hardenednossp
[12] i686-pc-linux-gnu-4.0.1

It's actually a fresh install, I'm not going to get into the details of how they all got on there (okay, okay, Vidalinux -> gentoo on a slow laptop -- vidalinux had gcc versions i didnt want, etc), but the system has been recompiled with one of them. They all show on there even after I removed all the other slotted builds.
How do I cleanly remove all the old / unused gcc junk?
Thx
-Feld
Note to self: Vidalinux is in no way convenient.......... _________________ < bmg505> I think the first line in reiserfsck is

Just delete the according files in /etc/env.d/gcc. |
