well you should be able to do that in your home dir.
post an ls -l of the dir you're trying to create files / directories in.
also post the output of pwd |

Hi,
I know I am a real n00b1. The problem is, I am very sure it is extremly easy. I copyed the files from a cd to my hd. How so I change that I am able to change them with gimp2? (write protection)

try chmod u+w *.jpg
that will give konstantin write permissions for all the jpg files. |
