I'm looking for a directory server similar to Fedora's Directory Server. I don't want to use openldap as I don't think it has the features that I want. Can anyone suggest an appilcation or a method of installing Fedora Directory Server on gentoo?

I'm not looking specifcally at Fedora Directory Server, it just happens that it has a lot of what I'm looking for. Basically I have a client who wants as many of the features that are availabel with Microsoft Active Directory nut all in an open source app. For example, they looking for LDAP, the ability to create OU's and would also like the ability for a mail server such as Scalix to be able to make use of the DS

All LDAP servers will do OUs (Organizational Units) and Scalix works with OpenLDAP (can synch with it and etc.)

I'm not advocating for one LDAP server in particular, but Gentoo's OpenLDAP package is pretty good so you might as well give it a try.

Both MTAs work with OpenLDAP. There's a lot of HOWTO documentation on the web and it will probably take a little effort to integrate everything.
