I am kinda noob to linux and i recently tried to install xgl.
I run
| Code: | | # Xgl :1 -ac -accel glx:pbuffer -accel xv:pbuffer & |
then i get
| Code: | # Couldn't interpret _XKB_RULES_NAMES property
Use defaults: rules - 'xorg' model - 'pc101' layout - 'us' |
but a window opens
Then when i try to run compiz
| Code: | | # DISPLAY=:1 compiz decoration |
I get
| Code: | | compiz: SmcOpenConnection failed: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed |
and a blue screen. Is there anything i can do to fix this i followed the xgl howto |
