Hi,
I am having a font issue with emacs. Bascially I got Xorg out-of-the-box when I used the LiveCD installer. After that I just emerged emacs. However I cannot see *any* text. Each character (glyph) is replaced by an empty box. Here's a screenshot http://www.cs.brandeis.edu/~amax/screenshot.jpg. Any help is much appreciated.

There was some discussion of this problem on this topic.
gaspardb has not returned to say whether that problem has been fixed, and if so, how.
whitebear's problem and solution relate to changes made to the xorg.conf.
The second time I had the problem I did re-emerge freetype so you might try that as teknomage1 suggests.

I could be wrong but I think the post number are wrong, the post 443870 are in a Italian forum and they are talking about "Quale editor WYSIWYG html??'". |
