i am having trouble in accessing my windows files..
I have two hard drives: hdf - where gentoo is installed, and hda - a sata drive where windows is installed...
all my music and video files are in the windows drive..
i remember that when i used mandrake i was able to use these files (though the disk was the same (i used a partition)..
is there a way to see the windows files? if so, how? |

You'll need sata drivers and ntfs drivers, both can be compiled in, or compiled as a module in the kernel. Then you mount the drive somewhere with "-o ntfs" option, if I'm not mistaken. _________________ Adopt an Unanswered Post

Are you sure that you sata hd is hda? I had a sata disk and it is sda.
If you never use a sata disk on linux, don't forget to include support for it on you kernel. |
