1) While booting it displays errors and warnings (mainly dependency). Are there any logs? How can I get to know which was this errors?
2) Why it loads up to 90% and stops? What should I do to login?
3) After I press ctrl+alt+del combination it hunged for 15sec displaying information that 5 services didn't start correctly.
4) ngc -s shows:

Have you tried switching to tty2 (Alt+F2) and is there a login prompt? Maybe you just have a problem starting kdm/gdm... |

Yeah It works, so I wrote logs.
Why it cannot start this services?
Why it mounts / read-only? _________________ Asio Software Technologies

Sorry to jump in on your thread but Im having trouble installing the initng-ifiles
From the Gentoo wiki this instruction :-
Emerge ¶
To emerge InitNG and InitNG-iFiles:
emerge -avt sys-apps/initng initng-ifiles
results in
orac sbin # emerge -avt sys-apps/initng initng-ifiles
These are the packages that I would merge, in reverse order:
Calculating dependencies -
emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "initng-ifiles".
I have initng emerged nut no ng-update which I believe is part of the initng-ifiles, can you help me
install the initng-ifiles ?
Thanks in advance. |

Use the subversion archive and the overlay. It has ifiles as well as a newer init-ng
http://www.initng.org/wiki/Install_Gentoo
If you don't have the "svn" command emerge subversion.
EDIT: Looks like the svn version is in portage now, according to http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Initng but still no ifiles, unless that's in the svn package in portage. I would use the overlay.
Alternatively, rc-update show then manually ng-update the services shown. |
