Is it normal that noatun doesn't play flac files? I have the flac use flag in /etc/make.conf, but I have to use vlc because noatun plays mp3 and ogg files only.
Thanks. |

i don't know why noatun won't play flac files with the flac use flag set, but you could try xmms. it is what i'm using to play flac, ogg, and mp3s. |

With xmms it's the same as noatun: I can play only mp3 and ogg files. Only vlc plays flac files to me.
Why?? |

hi
I guess that if you're able to make xmms playing flac files, noatun will do it as well.
You need the flac flag in /etc/make.conf, and maybe theses 2 packages to be install:
* media-libs/flac
* media-plugins/gst-plugins-flac
and you might need to re-emerge noatun as well.
At least, I got the same problem with rhythmbox. and after merging gst-plugins-flac and rhythmbox again, I could read the flac files again.
