Hi,
I'm using the kernel built-in swsusp option.
Today I resumed - then I shut down the machine.
After that I started it again expecting it to boot normally but it resumed again!
There was still the resume image on the swap partition.
I thought that the swsusp signature gets deleted after the resume or at least when I shut down the system.
Without that I need to know whether I _must_ start with noresume or not.
How can I delete the swsusp sig from swap? Will swapon/off do it? Do I have to delete swap when shutting down?
I want the system to resume when I suspended and to boot when I shut it down before... _________________ Kernel panic: I have no root and I want to scream |

On my computer the swsusp signature is removed correctly after resuming. Do you use a special kernel version? |

Hmm..
Maybe I know what was wrong... the first resume did not work correctly and I had to reboot...
So if you're saying this should work I think it will next time.
I had simply forgotten about the failed resume and judged too fast
I'll try it again... _________________ Kernel panic: I have no root and I want to scream |
