Any Way to bring Medusa UDB 5.1 Headset to function ?

Hiho,

i recently switched completly from winxp to gentoo and i managed most of my things to work again, but this Headset makes me crazy

Before i dig to deep into it - this Headset is originaly desinged for winxp, so the question is : is it possible to get some sound out of this ?

i allready tried snd-usb-sound and configured the second "card" into /etc/modules.d/alsa but no go.

Maybe someone has a hint how to solve this

I think you have to emerge udev and configure it or alternatively emerge coldplug and then rc-update.
After you can do alsaconf and raise volumes with alsamixer.
