OpenVPN öffnet als Client für jede Konfiguration ja ein tap Interface, tapX.

Wie kann man dessen MAC Adresse setzen - dies ist für die Clients wichtig, damit der Nameserver zusammen mit dem externen DHCP Server korrekte IP Adressen vergibt.
Gibts da eine Möglichkeit das in der Konfig festzulegen, nicht vorher oder im nachhinein per Hand mittels ifconfig!

Das Tap-Device kannst Du ja vor dem Start von openvpn auch "manuell" anlegen, daher denke ich kannst auch mit den üblichen Tools (unter Linux) die Mac setzen.
