ho installato dbu ed hal su gnome!ma mi sono accorto che il gruppo plugdev non esiste...come mai?

devi aggiungere il codepage corretto e ricompilare il kernel.

ho ricompilato il kernel adesso e' tutto ok...ma devo montarla a mano ugualmente ogni volta...nonostante abbia installato dbus ed hal da cosa puo dipendere? in piu non mi cede nemmeno il CD-ROM!!

Io, che uso Gnome, ho installato gnome-volume-manager. e ci pensa lui a montare quello che mi serve. Per kde penso ci sia qualcosa di analogo, altrimenti, per gli altri sistemi, c'è ivman

Se usi gnome ti conviene mettere la use "automount" e dare:
ti emerge tutto il necessario e configura gnome come si deve. _________________ Vorrei salvare il mondo...
...ma non so con che estensione!!! |

la use "hal" lasciala però perchè alcuni ebuild non riconoscono automount che è relativamente cosa nuova. _________________ Vorrei salvare il mondo...

ho dato l'use "atomont" emerso -ND gnome aggiunto l'user al gruppo plugdev ma niente il CDROM e le penne USB devo continuare a montarle a mano
forse avevo pensato che e' un problema dell' fstab qualche consiglio? |

Sei sicuro? A quanto vedo la flag use automount la possiedono solo due pacchetti:

E non mi pare che servano a joke. Se si vuole l'automount pisogna usare hal+gnome-volume-manager+pmount su stabile mentre con gnome 2.14 al posto di pmount si usa gnome-mount. _________________ Running Fast! |

una cosa non e' chiara se e' possibile vorrei una delucidazione..per quanto riguarda la penna usb devo aggiungere nel fstab una cosa simile?

se hai hal non è necessario, ci pensa lui a montarla per te, poi se vuoi usare lo stesso fstab, la riga corretta probabilmente sarà:

si io ho 2 penne usb un me la legge in sda e una in sda1 al limite le aggiungo tutte e due hal non mi funziona.

Impossbile che ti legge due penne usb una in sda e una in sda1, semmai una in sda (quindi la prima partizione della penna in sda1) e l'altra in sdb (quindi la prima partizioni in sdb1). I dispositivi usb funzionano come i normali hard-disk ide, li attacchi, il kernel gli da il device sd<prima lettera libera che trova> e poi ti trovi le partizioni con i numeri. _________________ Running Fast! |

si infatti io provavo a montarla una in sda ed andava l'altra provavo a montarla in sdb e nulla, ho provato in sda1 e me l'ha letta..adesso ho aggiunto le stringe in fstab ed e' tutto ok. |
