Hi all.I am off for Easter holidays to mine parents house where i have a box with athlon xp 2200+ Geforce4 MX 440 and a Maxtor hdd.I tried to install
gentoo from the GLI 2006.0 livecd but the screen went blank when gdm was starting.I solved that by borrowing a fx5200 and using it instead of the MX.Then the GLI just hangs during the install with only saying and no other information.I rebooted and i noticed that it created 2 of the 4 partitions i set but not the others.I also tried to partition manually the disk and then use GLI but still it failed with the same result.I used also the command line installer but either no luck.So is there a way to get around this or i can use GLI _________________ "LINUX, MS-DOS, Windows : known as the Good, the Bad and the Ugly."

Try booting with the following.
