It has been tasked with me to fix my companies DNS due to the mis configurations from the past Admin who had the configuration setup pretty badly. There was inside and outside addresses being served on the same DNS server, with an xlate through the firewall . . . go figure.
Anyway, in cleaning up the DNS mess, I have Bind 9 on the outside and MS DNS on the inside (due to AD) and have updated my servers to reflect the new changes with my registrar, however, when I run dns reports . . . I get the new outside server coming back as a lame server.
At first I thought is was due to propagation not being complete, but I still get it now and I should not. I thought I have done everything right, to get it to not be so lame but the report says that is not the case.
If I do a DIG, it comes back with the 2 proper servers as an authoritive answer, but the report once again says the new one is not. the domain is eschoolsolutions.com if you would like to check the DNS report. www.dnsreport.com
Anyway, Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. |

As above, the server at rslv1.eschoolsolutions.com knows nothing about the domain eschoolsolutions.com.
I presume that server is the secondary server with ns1 being the master.
It's a bit difficult to help any more than that without seeing the named.conf for both servers.
Check your logs and look for zone transfer errors.
Also, publicly accesible name servers should only resolve queries for domains they host.
