hey all can some people give me some advice on setting up a proxy server in squid that works with my domain which is running in samba, web filtering and login.

Hi,

The Gentoo Wiki has a bunch of articles on Samba and a number on Squid. I don't see anything there that combines the two. For that, you can do a Google search or search the forums -- there a quite a few results there for "samba squid".

It's cool to ask for help here, but it's usually good to search the excellent resources here first to see if someone else has already solved this problem.
