I am following the tricks in this thread:
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-291835-start-0.html
In the post by the user 'crishchun', I am stuck in Step 3.
Quote: | Step 3: Play a song and verify xmms-info (symlink), xmms-info_$USERNAME.0, and xmms_$USERNAME.0 exist in /tmp. "cat /tmp/xmms-info" to see the current song information. |
There is no /tmp/xmms-info!
So... what do I do from here? |

Check if infopipe plugin is installed and if it is enabled in xmms. _________________ Ep2.nl | Developers Community |

Made a mistake in the original post. I was suppose to seek support on Step 2. :s
Anyways. No, the plug in is not there in XMMS.
Emerge tells me it is installed:
Code: | [ebuild R ] media-plugins/xmms-infopipe-1.3 0 kB |
But it is not there in XMMS. So how do I get it to show up in XMMS? _________________ Linux gentoo 2.6.14-gentoo-r5, Fluxbox |
