as in the subject are there some tom/tom like software for Linux?
are there alternatives to use, for example with wine or emulators?

I'm not familiar with tomtom, but after a Google search I see it's something to do with GPS. There are several GPS packages in the "sci-geosciences" category, but I think they're not consumer-oriented.
I'm sure that a USB or serial GPS device could work with Windows under VMWare. I don't know about Wine, you could always search their app database to see if tomtom is supported. |

Thanks for the reply...
howewer it seems tom tom run only on symbian and windows mobile smartphones, but i think there is not a good emulator (with a good bluetooth relayer too) of these architectures for Linux.
I tried gpsdrive, it's useful but cannot do a gps route planner with vocal instructions
I hope i'm wrong, but i think there is nothing in the opensource for these needs.
