configuration error

hello guys can anyone help me on how to solve this configuration error. I get this error everytime I login.
configuration error - unknown item 'FAILLOG_ENAB' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'LASTLOG_ENAB' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'MOTD_FILE' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'FTMP_FILE' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'ENV_ROOTPATH' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'PASS_MIN_LEN' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'CHFN_AUTH' (notify administrator)

Seems as you have updated your system, but haven't executed "etc-update" afterwards. So run "etc-update", but make sure you only overwrite those files you haven't made changes manually.
BTW searching the forum should give you alot answers to this issue
