|

hi there,
i have modular x.org and xgl running on my machine and would like to merge evidence (e17 file manager) now. but if i do a emerge -p evidence there is also the following ebuild as a dependency: x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10-r11
is it safe to merge this, or do i have to void it because of the cairo-against-gtk2 compile and so on? i know i am talking about gtk2 and not gtk+, but i dont know if gtk+ is compiled against xgl related stuff too, so i could break my xgl when merging the gtk+ dependency from evidence... |

Hello,
gtk2 and gtk1.x are in separate SLOTs. It's completely separate, and nothing involved with building Xgl has anything to do with gtk1.x. So you're safe from that kind of breakage. |

Moved from Desktop Environments to Unsupported Software.
Xgl is not yet supported software, so moved here. _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Help answer the unanswered
