|
|
I've been trying to install both blackdown and sun's jre with no luck... it complains about not finding files. I've checked and they are not there, however I have no idea where to look or how to fix it.
Here's the error message:
Code: |
aopen ~ # java-config --set-system-vm sun-jre-bin-1.5.0.06
javac not found at /opt/sun-jre-bin-1.5.0.06/bin/javac or /opt/sun-jre-bin-1.5.0.06/jre/bin/javac
javadoc not found at /opt/sun-jre-bin-1.5.0.06/bin/javadoc or /opt/sun-jre-bin-1.5.0.06/jre/bin/javadoc
jar not found at /opt/sun-jre-bin-1.5.0.06/bin/jar or /opt/sun-jre-bin-1.5.0.06/jre/bin/jar
rmic not found at /opt/sun-jre-bin-1.5.0.06/bin/rmic or /opt/sun-jre-bin-1.5.0.06/jre/bin/rmic
THIS SYSTEM VM IS NOT SUFFICIENT, REQUIRED BINARIES WERE NOT FOUND
|
I tried searching for javac for the heck of it, and it wasn't found anywhere:
Code: |
aopen ~ # find / -name javac
aopen ~ #
|
I had this problems on my other PCs and just haven't bothered fixing it, but I need to get this working.

I fixed it. I was so tired last night I couldn't get anything done. I found another thread saying the binaries are actually in the jdk, so I just emerged that even though I don't really need it.... but at least I don't get any more error messages switching engines. |
