Hello,
recently I buyed a digitus usb1.1/rs232 adapter (model number: DA-70145). On the driver CD is a Linux driver, too, but it's made for RedHat9 (and RedHat8 and RedHat 7.3). I looked into the Makefile and saw that the driver was made for 2.4 kernels. On the company`s website there was another driver, without a Makefile. It seemed even older than the ones on the CD (like 2001 or so).
I tried to compile the drivers anyway, but there were lots of (syntax and other) errors. I suppose that's because of the newer gcc version.
With usbview I can see it, but I don't know how to emulate a ttyXY device. Can anybody tell me how to install it? |
