|
|
I am running openbox, but it seems that this was an issue when I was running gnome as well...
The font gaim uses it quite large. I have tried chaning the .gtkrc.2.0 file, but it seems to do nothing, here is my .gtkrc.2.0 file:
Code: |
gtk-font-name = "Lucida 9"
|
However, no matter what I put in there, it seems to do nothing. Any ideas? the same goes for about any other program that I run as well. _________________ "WARNING: you may LOL"
This is my font size, color, and signature. It will change to whatever I pick. How cool is that?

Try using x11-themes/gtk-theme-switch to write your gtkrc for you. There's probably some sort of include statement you need at the beginning of the file (I switched to KDE so I haven't fucked around with gtkrc in a while). |

ok, briefly reading through the manual, it reads them files to get configureation. I just want to change my font.. does it wnat me to download a theme somewhre to use? If so.. where do I get a theme? or what do I even look for? I looked at "theme.gtk.org" but I dont know what to look for. _________________ "WARNING: you may LOL"

The file should be named .gtkrc-2.0 and not .gtkrc.2.0. look for the hypen or dash, what ever you call it.
if it still doesn't work try changing the content of the file to look something like
Code: | style "user-font"
{
#replace with your desired font name
font_name="Tahoma 9"
}
widget_class "*" style "user-font" |

Unless you are running some obscure new versions of gaim and openbox i don't see a reason why this should be in the US forum.
