Seems the army has dropped support for mac and linux on americas army.

I didn't know whether to post this under gamers/players or under coding/developers. Anyone interested in starting a project to incorporate pb and americas army support in to wine? |

The official AA developers never were involved with the Linux port. Icculus has made the ports so far. And as far as I know, they are still working on the 2.6 client for Linux over there. The only problem is that the Linux ports always have huge delays. _________________ Ep2.nl | Developers Community |

It seems Ryan was not paid last year by the army for porting AA to Linux/Mac.
It's was his good will. This was new for me.
I'll donate some money to Ryan for poritng AA, but he dont accept donations anymore.

I think we must wait for Ryan's statement.
Hope, there is any kind of solution.
Best wishes

Ryan Gordon, a.k.a. "Icculus" official response. The aao linux port is dead, 2.6 client might be released but 2.7 aint going 2 happen.

There are mutterings about having 2.5 working in wine (apparently people got bored of waiting for 2.5 too), but with a native client about I doubt there was much enthusiasm. When the windows client finishes downloading (some time next week, havn't these people heard of bittorrent?) I'll start pissing around and see whats what. |
