Hi,
Ok, my comp has been running fine for quite some time now running Gentoo . For some weird reason though, all of a sudden I can't connect to the internet. I've tried printing through my print server on the router I'm using and everything is fine, but still I can't connect to the internet. Does anyone have a clue about what could be the problem. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks |

1) can you ping your router?
2) does your router have an ipaddress from your ISP?
check those two first, if 2 is false, renew your IP on your router, if 1 is false, renew to IP on your machine. _________________ Help the confused! Adopt an unanswered post!

Thanks for the reply
My router does have an IP - just the factory settings...
I have tried renewing the address on the machine, but it didn't help. I've also tried plugging the comp right into the modem to bypass the router, but that didn't help either. It's really strange, it worked a week ago... |
