I've got captive-ntfs set up, but I can't seem to view the contents of the drive at all with nautilus. The same goes for xmms, I can't browse the mount point. Everything is fine at the command line, however. Any thoughts?
Also, as captive-ntfs is quite slow...is it possible (and safe) to mount my partition twice (to two different locations)
mount -t captive-ntfs /dev/hdb1 /home/data-write
mount -t ntfs /dev/hdb1 /home/data-read
So if I am doing something that requires writing, I will point my programs to /home/data-write...but if I am only playing mp3s or something like that, then I can go to /home/data-read. Is this safe? |
