Hi,
I have been having problems setting up a vpn. Here's what's happening.
A linux box on the inside of the network running vpnd. I connect with ssh to my home computer and reverse forward one of the ports(the one that vpnd listens on). So far so good. I am able to connect from my home computer with vpnd to 127.0.0.1:1020(which in fact is the computer at work). I get a sl0 interface with ip and everything. The problem is though I can't ping computers from the internal network. I can only ping the computer running vpnd. I thought it wouldnt be too hard to set up rules with iptables to masquerade, or forward the connections comming from sl0 to eth0(which is the internal network) but I havent had any luck. Could anyone please tell me if I am doing something wrong?
Also sl0 interface always comes up with netmask 255.255.255.255 is that supposed to be the case?
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks
