primo: esiste già un'utente che si chiama shutdown, quindi è un po' difficile per te accedere con tale nome. :roll:

alsa lo devi emergere a manina perchè non trova lo script di init.
per xfs non so a cosa si riferisca. se al filesystem, credo che non ci siano problemi in quanto potrebbero avere fatto qualche casino con il GLI. se alla componente di xorg da quello che ne so non è più utilizzata, quindi come prima.

se non ricordo male penso che gli script di init sono nel pacchetto alsa-utils

Dovrebbe essere la componente di xorg... ch'io sappia il filesystem non ha un file di init.

Allora, mi spiegate come si fa ad EMERGERE alsa??
In realta' non ho capito di cosa si tratta!!
C'e un altro problema: la mia tastiera e' configurata malissimo!!
In pratica dovrei cambiare il Layout e mettere quello
Italiano, come faccio??

è un pacchetto che fornisce lo script di avvio per caricare i moduli alsa e risettare le informazioni del mixer.

Leggiti /etc/X11/xorg.conf.example e modificati di conseguenza /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

Per la tastiere prova a controllare il file /etc/rc.conf

nel frattempo puoi dare anche un loadkeys it.
Per il resto ti consiglio una lettura approfondita delle faq e del manuale di installazione di gentoo, dentro c'e' tutto. Un occhio particolare su gentoo lo devi dare al sistema di portage, li troverai anche la spiegazione del funzionamento di emerge.

Per la tastiera su console non è quello il file, ma /etc/conf.d/keymaps
