I 've already asked this question though no one seemed to know the answer, but since some time has passed and the problem still exists i am gonna ask again. So the problem is with openbox themes & the fonts they use.
Whichever theme uses the "shadow=y" option, results in openbox being unable to find the specified fonts. To be more specific if an openbox theme uses for example smth like this:
Code: | window.active.label.text.font:Bitstream Vera Sans:pixelsize=12:shadow=y:shadowoffset=1:shadowtint=0:bold |
then i get a warning
Code: | (openbox12519): ObRender-WARNING **: Unable to load font: Bitstream Vera Sans:pixelsize=12:shadow=y:shadowoffset=1:shadowtint=0 |
and the fonts fallback to the default ugly sans :/
I i remove the shadow option from the themerc file, e.g:
Code: | window.active.label.text.font:Bitstream Vera Sans:pixelsize=12:bold |
then everything works fine.
I have to say here that i use the modular x-server (7.0-r1) and the latest openbox. I am sure that the problem is related somehow to the modular x server but i dont have a clue how to solve it.
If anyone has any clue i ll be thunkfull _________________ http://mywebspace.wordpress.com/ |

Modular xorg does not build all the fonts. You will have to go into media-fonts and install the fonts you want. |
