Hi all,

I'd like to be able to put a CDROM in my drive and be able to access it without

a) having to be root
b) having to mount it
c) having to umount before I eject it or press the eject button.

I don't know the first thing about how to go about doing this, so any help is appreciated.

I would also like to be able to do the same thing with external USB drives, etc. Is it the same problem as above or subtly different? I would have thought it was slightly different because, while I already have a CDROM device node in place when I booted, and all I want to do is mount CD filesystems automatically, a USB drive doesn't even have a device node before it's connected...

Thanks for any help,

Desmond
