|
|
Hi All
I noticed that when I boot, my GenToo box tries to start (with dhcp) eth0. But I'm not using eth0, but eth1 (wireless)
I thought that rc-update was my friend, but something like rc-update del net.eth0 default doesn't work because its not in there.
Any suggestions how I can stop/remove this because it takes a lot of boot time ?
Thnx a lot

You probably have an interactive boot mode set - just press I and do not allow the deamon to start. Oh, and maybe edit your /etc/conf.d/net. |

You're right, I'm using an old configuration file. So I changed it and uncommented the following line:
Code: | config_eth0=( "null" ) |
I assume this is the way (and it works too!!) |
