I have a Promise Fasttrak tx2300 that I am trying to get working so as to use a SATA II drive on my workstation. It shows up in the output of lspci as follows:
Code: |
02:05.0 RAID bus controller: Promise Technology, Inc. Unknown device 3570 (rev 02)
|
I compiled support for Promise Raid into my kernel (Promise SATA TX2/TX4 support and Promise SATA SX 4 support), but I still cannot get my SATA II drive to show up under /dev. (I believe it should come up as sdb, as I have an external HD that is sda.) Has anyone had any luck with this card? I've seen a driver for it on Promise's site, but it seems to be only for RedHat 9 (a 2.4 kernel, and I am using 2.6.13-gentoo-r5 right now).
Thanks for any insight. |
